West of England LEP website goes live

Today is the best kind of day for a project manager as another new website goes live!

This one is for the West of England LEP. Local Enterprise Partnerships promote local economic recovery and growth…and here in the West of England we have this in abundance.

With so much to say, we knew the website needed to appeal to a wide variety of audiences and display content in an engaging way. Also key to the project was making sure the opinions of LEP stakeholders were considered, so we started with a detailed research phase. With clear objectives we then set to work designing the site to feel fresh, up to date and inspiring. By using colour coding each section is clearly defined, and animation is balanced with text based pages and essential downloads such as meeting minutes and agendas.

The website uses a responsive design to adapt to fit all devices, ensuring the LEP can stay connected with its audience wherever they are. It also has a simple to use CMS to allow the site to be updated by different people within the organisation whilst knowing the overall design of the site can be upheld.

It’s an exciting time for the LEP with high profile projects such as Junction 21 in Weston, Bristol and Bath Science Park, and the development of Temple Quay…plus they’ve come top of the list for all 39 Local Enterprise Partnerships, which is brilliant news. Great to be able to showcase it all on the new LEP website too!

At the end of a project we love to hear what the client thinks – here’s what Peter Jackson, Director of the West of England Local Enterprise Partnership, had to say: “We gave Positive a challenging brief - we needed a new website that was professional and created the right impression with Government whilst being accessible, easy to use and welcoming to the general public. Given these divergent objectives, Positive have produced a site which matched all of our needs, and delivered within our challenging timescales and budget. They exceeded our expectations by tailoring the site so it is equally impressive on a variety of different viewing platforms, and extended the new branding on to our linked social media outlets, both of which were above and beyond our asks.”
