MBA 2011/12 Careers Employment Report for Saïd Business School

This week our latest work for the Saïd Business School has gone live: the MBA 2011/12 Careers Employment Report.

The report is an insight into the career success the MBA course can offer, including key employment industries, locations and top recruiters. This gives prospective students a taste of the success that studying with the Saïd Business School can bring.

The interactive charts are all driven by jQuery and tracked with Google event tracking to allow us to see which sections are most popular. Using jQuery instead of Flash ensures that the site works on a wider range of platforms, including iOS devices. Some charts also have the ability to see the previous years’ data – throughout the report we have created clear infographics, making all the information easy for the user to consume and compare.

Have a look at the MBA report here – we’re now working on the MFE report, due to go live later this month.

Positive's very own fuel saving stove!

Since we worked with Send a Cow on their Spring Campaign, we have wanted to try our hand at one of their African Garden techniques – and here it is: the Positive fuel saving stove!

Built with a (messy!) mix of clay, sand and soil, it was great fun to make and took less than 2 hours. The stove was beautifully crafted into shape by Andrew, with the addition of the Positive logo the finishing touch. Now all we have to do is wait for it to dry!

Find out more about how you can make one yourself and watch this space for the Summer BBQ when Positive and Send a Cow get together to test it out!

Send a Cow Spring Campaign goes live!

We’ve been working round the clock on the Spring Campaign for Send a Cow, showing how all the amazing techniques they use in Africa can work in the UK too.

Whether it’s a Keyhole Garden, Bag Garden or Fuel Saving Stove, there are so many great ideas for bringing African Gardens to the UK. By using a carousel technique and brilliant bespoke illustrations, we’ve made the content really engaging and easy to consume. We’ve also taken the African Gardens theme through the website, including support for their latest appeal to fund 5,000 Keyhole Gardens in Africa. These gardens recycle as they grow and are especially useful in areas where good soil is scarce, often adding nutritious vegetables to diets. Find out more about how you can help.

There’s also a great competition to meet celebrity gardener Toby Buckland – just send in your top gardening tip to be in with a chance to win ‘Tea with Toby’!

It’s been a fantastic project to work on and now we've got our very own Bag Gardens from Send a Cow, to thank us for all the work. Can’t wait to see how they grow!

Visit the Send a Cow website and see what you can do to bring African Gardens to the UK.

Virtual Open Day for Saïd Business School

We were asked by our colleagues at Saïd Business School to come up with an idea for a Virtual Open Day for their MBA course. With many overseas students, Saïd wanted to be able to give a flavour of the course and environment to those who would not be able to attend an Open Day in person.

This was a great opportunity to create a fresh, new approach to the Open Day format (which, after doing some research, we felt was very much needed!). Many of Saïd’s competitors had chosen to use gimmicky scenes to imitate the environment, with the content and viewing experience an afterthought. We wanted to move away from this and create something simple, where the content was the priority.

With a modern use of the Saïd brand, the microsite has been designed to be a simple and enjoyable experience – there are no hidden sections or confusing navigation systems. From first glance the user can instantly see what is available. We have created a microsite that puts the content first: large videos, large images, and a simple and clear area to ask questions....oh and of course, the whole thing works wonderfully on tablets too.

The result is a Virtual Open Day that encapsulates the qualities of Saïd Business School and Oxford itself.

Hope and Homes for Children goes live!

This week sees the launch of the Hope and Homes for Children website – and it’s well worth the wait!

We’ve taken the charity’s brand refresh and created a website with a warm and personal feel, perfectly representing their brand values. As an international charity working to ensure that all children have the chance to grow up in the love of a family, they naturally have a child-centered approach to all their work – with the use of bold colours, irregular shapes and hand-drawn elements this is now reflected throughout the website too.

The donate process has been streamlined and the whole site structured to bring the charity’s work to the forefront, and their audiences closer to the information they need (with a fantastic CMS to make the site easy to update and keep the content fresh). Add to this great photography and powerful films and you get a real insight into the amazing work of Hope and Homes for Children, and the families and children they help.

Visit the site to see for yourself (and don’t forget to stop by the donation page while you’re there too!).
